Redesign, website build, and ongoing SEO and marketing for Mann Broadbent
Mann Broadbent is a family-owned independent insurance broker in Worcester. They are specialists in sports insurance, leisure insurance and dance insurance and have been supporting individuals, businesses and organisations locally and nationwide with their insurance needs for over 60 years.
The project
AlphaQuad has partnered with Mann Broadbent for more than a decade, supporting their digital strategy, SEO, and content efforts. In 2024, following a company rebrand, Mann Broadbent sought to refresh their website to better align with the updated brand and improve user experience, functionality, and performance.
Our creative team collaborated closely with Mann Broadbent to define design requirements and establish digital brand guidelines that would shape the new website’s aesthetic and functional elements. Key objectives included:
- Visual Appeal: Capturing the energy and excitement associated with sports and leisure while maintaining a professional, approachable look.
- Brand Consistency: Ensuring visual alignment with Mann Broadbent’s sister company, Sutcliffe and Co., through consistent design elements and a cohesive user journey.
- Enhanced Functionality: Building a flexible, user-friendly website on WordPress with a Themify setup, allowing non-technical staff to make updates easily.
The new website’s key features focused on creating a user-centric design with clear, engaging journeys, intuitive navigation, and prominent calls to action that enhanced site exploration. Rigorous SEO practices were embedded throughout, ensuring the rebrand not only retained, but also boosted, Mann Broadbent’s existing search rankings and visibility. Additionally, the Themify framework provided greater flexibility and customisation options, simplifying content management compared to the previous ACF-based setup, which positioned the website for long-term ease of use and adaptability.
The results
Since the launch of the new website, we have seen some significant improvements, including:
- 18.4% uplift in overall traffic
- 20.3% uplift in search traffic
- 5% uplift in enquiries
- 3 new featured snippets for key target terms
- Average ranking position up five places
- Site health score up to 100%
Beyond these metrics, the Themify installation has facilitated improved flexibility and ease of use for non-technical content editors compared to the previous ACF build.
